Job Summary
Operate gamma cameras and imaging equipment to produce physiological functional images and quantitative data for patient diagnosis and treatment. Inject radiopharmaceuticals intravenously or orally, coordinate examinations to minimize patient stay, and maintain equipment calibration while reporting malfunctions. Perform daily work assignments efficiently, including proper patient identification, positioning, and comfort monitoring, while identifying nursing needs and notifying staff as required. Obtain examination requests, review clinical histories, and assist leadership with rescheduling emergency patients. Maintain rotational areas, stock supplies, and provide instruction to students and residents on exams and equipment usage.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Bachelors Degree or a graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Training Program
- Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 90 Days OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR Registry eligible (New graduates must become registered within 3 months and will not be recognized as technologist until registered. within 90 Days)
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
- Must be readily available to perform on-call clinical services when emergency patient or staffing needs require evening, weekend and holiday coverage

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree with meaning related to technical or managerial performance requirements
- 1 or more years experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
