Job Summary

Performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures, demonstrating proficiency in camera acquisition, computer processing, and adapting to new technology while ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging. Prepares and administers radionuclides safely and accurately, utilizing aseptic technique and BSI principles, and explains procedures to patients. Ensures equipment quality control and evaluates image quality, performing required QC procedures and verifying diagnostic and technical accuracy prior to image release. Identifies patients and reviews physician orders to confirm exam appropriateness, using approved identification guidelines. Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging, timely reporting, and continuity of patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Associate [Preferred]
  • Education: Bachelor's [Preferred]
  • Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) [Required]
  • Licenses and Certifications: RT(N)(ARRT) [Required]
  • Licenses and Certifications: CNMT [Required]
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English [Required]
  • Experience with Radiation Safety concepts (ALARA) [Required]
  • Ability to learn and use Radiology software (Cerner, Radworks, PACS) [Required]
  • Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision [Required]
