Job Summary
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate advanced nuclear medicine imaging equipment, and perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials. Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions, provide emergency care if needed, and assist physicians in interpreting images. Maintain detailed records of procedures and radiopharmaceutical usage, conduct quality control checks, and calibrate imaging equipment. Educate patients on procedures, ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, and implement infection control practices. Work full-time in the 1st shift with emergency on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- College graduate or equivalent
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Nuclear School of Medicine or equivalent
- CPR Certification
- Certification as Nuclear Medicine Technologist from the ARRT
- Certification as Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) from the NMTCB
