Job Summary
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all Protocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs. Execute all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state, and federal guidelines. Maintain BLS certification and possess thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process Nuclear Medicine examinations. Requires ARRT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT licensure. Variable shifts available at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Registered nuclear technologist with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT)
- BLS Certified
- Thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals
