Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist I (PRN) performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under physician supervision, prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, operates gamma cameras and PET scanners, and ensures radiation safety. Responsibilities include conducting imaging procedures per physician orders, ensuring accuracy of documentation in the EMR, maintaining regulatory compliance with NRC/state guidelines, and collaborating with radiologists and cardiologists to deliver high-quality patient care. Role requires patient and family instruction, quality control on imaging equipment, safe handling and disposal of radioactive materials, and responding to isotope spills per RSO protocols. Qualifications include relevant licensure and certification requirements; strong knowledge of radiation safety, regulatory guidelines, and ability to work independently and within a clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
- (N) ARDMS or ARRT - Nuclear Med Tech required or
- NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
