Job Summary
Conduct all hot lab functions including receiving, using, and discarding radio-pharmaceuticals while strictly adhering to vendor, departmental, and DEP regulations. Calibrate dose calibrators, perform gamma camera quality control, and notify the lead of any malfunctions. Identify patients per hospital SOP before procedures, explain protocols clearly, and obtain optimal images using prescribed technical parameters. Assist the nuclear physician with special imaging procedures and ensure all test results are valid and accurate prior to release. Maintain a clean department, accept special assignments, and perform non-technical tasks as prescribed. Works full-time day shifts (7:30 AM - 4 PM) with a $12,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist
- Must possess a current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB
- BLS certification
- Day Shift, 40 hours/week (7:30 AM - 4 PM)
- Full-Time
- Works overtime when needed
