Job Summary
Conduct hot lab functions including receiving, using, and discarding radio-pharmaceuticals while adhering to vendor, departmental, and DEP regulations. Calibrate the dose calibrator and perform QC procedures on gamma cameras, identifying patients per SOP and explaining procedures to ensure maximum comfort. Obtain optimal images using prescribed technical parameters and verify test results before patient release. Assist the nuclear physician with special imaging procedures, maintain department cleanliness, and accept special assignments from supervisors. Perform other departmental duties as prescribed, including overtime and non-technical tasks, while demonstrating the ability to respond to instruction and discuss work strategy differences.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist
- Must possess a current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB
- BLS certification
- Day Shift, 40 hours/week (7:30 AM - 4 PM)
- Full-Time
- Works overtime when needed
