Job Summary
Conduct all hot lab functions including receiving, using, and discarding radio-pharmaceuticals in strict compliance with vendor, departmental, and DEP regulations. Calibrate the dose calibrator, perform gamma camera QC procedures, and notify the lead of any malfunctions. Identify patients per hospital SOP before procedures, explain protocols including wait times, and obtain optimal images using prescribed technical parameters. Assist the nuclear physician with special imaging procedures and ensure all test results are valid prior to patient release. Maintain a clean department condition, accept special assignments from supervisors, and perform non-technical tasks as prescribed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist
- Must possess a current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB
- BLS certification
- Day Shift, 40 hours/week (7:30 AM - 4 PM)
- Full-Time
- Works overtime when needed
