Job Summary
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all protocols, policies, and procedures while adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs. Execute quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state, and federal guidelines. Demonstrate proficiency in advanced imaging for cardiac and vascular applications, providing complex technical care to meet identified patient needs. Requires a graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program with two years of experience and CNMT or NMTCB registration. BLS certification and thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals are mandatory. This PRN role at Piedmont Newnan Hospital requires availability to work six shifts per month during days.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work 6 shifts per month
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Must have two years of experience as a Nuclear Med Tech
- Either CNMT or NMTCB registered
- BLS Certified
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process Nuclear Medicine examinations
