Job Summary
Nuclear Maintenance Coordinator role based in Norfolk, VA, overseeing review and brokering of ship maintenance items, with extensive Naval Nuclear Propulsion and aircraft carrier experience. Requires deep expertise with RMAIS/VSB, CSMP, NDE/MFOM/CASREP systems, and strong data analysis using Excel/PowerPoint. Must effectively briefing senior naval officers and coordinating with MARMC, NRMD, NNSY, and shipyard teams to ensure readiness and proper maintenance actions. The position emphasizes collaboration with project teams, maintenance providers, and ship systems across multiple naval environments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience fluent use of RMAIS/VSB
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience with direct involvement with Naval Nuclear Propulsion onboard aircraft carriers, with at least 10 years direct operational experience onboard carriers
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience in hull, mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for aircraft carriers
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience communicating with and briefing senior naval officers and civilians regarding shipboard systems and equipment status
- Experience with MARMC, NRMD, and NNSY repair activities
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience in CSMP analysis and brokering maintenance actions to Maintenance Program Managers
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint; ability to develop and maintain spreadsheets and analyze data
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience with Microsoft Products
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience using Navy Data Environment (NDE) for Ship Change Documents (SCD)
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience using MFOM for CASREP status and updates
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience assessing system and equipment deficiencies; ensure DFS issued and scheduled for future corrective action
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience with Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) for availability tracking
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience with SPAR, SPLI and LAR for critical information updates
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience interfacing with shipyard Project Team members
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience evaluating maintenance provider estimates during project planning
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience in naval work package integration and execution for aircraft carrier repairs, maintenance and modernization within last five years
