Job Summary
Oversee physical protection of nuclear ISFSI facilities by managing surveillance, controlling access for personnel and materials, and monitoring alarm systems. Supervise on-shift ISFSI Specialist I staff, ensuring proper staffing and conducting drills, practical exercises, and required training programs. Investigate alarms and suspicious activities, report hazards, and perform site maintenance including snow removal and housekeeping. Operate ISFSI equipment such as storage casks and the diesel generator, while maintaining electrical power to vital loads. Respond to contingency events and perform 10CFR screens as directed. Work varying shifts to cover a 24-hour, seven-day operation including mandatory overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's license
- 21+ years of age
- 2+ years security experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
- Minimum of four (4) years of nuclear/ISFSI security experience
- Be at least 21 years old or minimum age required by your State
- Be able to work varying shifts to cover a twenty-four hour/seven-day a week operation including mandatory overtime
- Be able to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors and surveillance equipment
- Meet all physical requirements as required in 10CFR73, Appendix B
- Demonstrate an ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
