Job Summary
Electrical Design CNS team develops, designs, and implements plant modifications for nuclear facilities. The role involves defining scope, technical basis, installation and testing requirements for modifications, supporting engineering changes through reviews and field installation activities, and preparing technical reports and calculations. The engineer will conduct studies, manage projects with scheduling and monitoring of activities, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and coordinate with teams to ensure goals are met. Design changes cover AC/DC power systems, large motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, voltage regulators, and breakers. Requires a BS in Engineering from ABET-accredited program (master's considered in lieu), 0-2 years (I) or 2-4 years (II) of engineering experience, potential nuclear experience, ability to obtain nuclear site security clearance, and willingness to travel. Office and plant environments with some field support and occasional travel; relocation assistance provided. Visa sponsorship not offered. Relocation assistance provided as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program. A master’s degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- 2-4 years of engineering experience for Nuclear Engineer II; 0-2 years for Nuclear Engineer I
- Able to achieve nuclear site Unescorted Access/Security clearance
- Ability to wear PPE and work in office/plant environments
- Occasional overnight travel (5-15%)
