Job Summary
Civil/Structural Engineer in Nuclear Power role (Direct Hire, Remote) to perform basic design and analysis of concrete and steel structures, develop 3D analytical models with FEA and seismic analysis, assist with drawings, and coordinate across disciplines. Requires ABET-accredited Civil/Structural degree, 3–5+ years nuclear industry experience, proficiency in Mathcad/Matlab and FEA tools, strong writing and communication skills, and U.S. work authorization. Flexible remote options with occasional site visits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 3–5+ years of progressively responsible civil/structural engineering experience in the nuclear power industry
- Knowledge of civil/structural engineering fundamentals including mechanics, hydraulics, materials science, and statistical analysis
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Proficiency with engineering-based programs such as Mathcad or Matlab
- Hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis software and/or analysis techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment while being a self-starter
- Proven ability to deliver work with a high degree of accuracy, detail, and independence
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future
