Job Summary
As a Nuclear Cardiology Tech 3, the role involves performing complex Nuclear Cardiology studies, including SPECT and PET/CT imaging. Responsibilities include troubleshooting imaging issues, serving as a preceptor for new Technologists, and participating in departmental committees for safety and quality. The position requires expertise in various Nuclear Cardiology areas, ordering and administering radiopharmaceuticals, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring high-quality imaging results. A Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine and 4 years of relevant experience, along with several certifications including BCLS and CNMT, are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program
- 4 years of experience as a Nuclear Cardiology Tech
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- ARDMS or ARRT - Nuclear Med Tech
- NYS licensure in Nuclear Medicine
- CNMT - Certified Nuclear Med Tech by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist and NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
