Job Summary

Conduct diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols. Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely while verifying patient identity, obtaining medical history, and explaining procedures. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, perform daily quality assurance testing, and monitor inventory and quality control activities. Follow ALARA principles and radiation safety policies, respond to patient emergencies, and maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS systems. Communicate effectively with radiologists and referring physicians while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Current ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification
  • Current state licensure (if required by state regulations)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency with PACS, EMR, and nuclear medicine imaging equipment
