Job Summary
Provide general medical care, treatment, and preventative health measures to youth in Limited Secure Placement facilities. Conduct physical examinations, screenings, and health evaluations while administering medication and reviewing pediatric guidelines. Participate in clinical teams to develop comprehensive care plans and assist in medical examinations following incidents. Deliver health education, including reproductive health topics, and train staff. Maintain on-call availability for triage, sick, urgent, and quick coverage consults for assigned programs.
Required Qualifications
- New York State Registered Nurse
- BCLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required
