Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist ensures a smooth patient flow within the department by performing X-ray procedures according to physician protocols, delivering high-quality patient care, and maintaining patient safety. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, transferring images to PACS, keeping imaging rooms and equipment clean, and coordinating with Clinic Assistants and the healthcare team to support department operations. The role requires radiation safety adherence, familiarity with EHR and PACS systems, and strong attention to detail and communication skills to produce accurate diagnostic images.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a formal radiologic technology program
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Valid state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience: minimum 1-2 years in a clinical setting preferred
- Proficiency in operating X-ray imaging software and equipment
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
