Job Summary
Issue, maintain, and expedite purchase orders for NPI materials, prototypes, and engineering builds while tracking deliveries and resolving delays. Partner with Engineering and Project Management to source new component solutions across electronics, sheet metal, displays, cables, shielding, and PCBs, identifying and qualifying new suppliers. Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to align activities with category strategies and negotiated pricing, and translate BOM requirements into sourcing specifications. Manage supplier communications, RFQs, and lead-time commitments while retrieving fabrication and Gerber data from PLM systems to support new-build sourcing. Track NPI procurement status, supply risks, and material readiness for cross-functional teams, and support production-level buying and MRO purchasing as priorities allow. Maintain accurate data within ERP systems and escalate supply issues early to protect launch schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- Previous experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or new product development programs
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering background
- Technical degree
- Equivalent hands-on experience
- Familiarity with electronics manufacturing in an OEM environment
- Working knowledge of electronic components, sheet metal, displays, cables, shielding, and PCBs
- Working knowledge of their sourcing and manufacturing processes
- Hands-on experience with PLM or engineering document-management systems (Arena, Agile, Up Chain, or equivalent) for fabrication / Gerber / BOM retrieval and version control
- BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or new product development programs
