NPI Production Planner II

Job Summary
Execute NPI activities to support product launches, including cost analysis, product BOM development, and ensuring material availability at scheduled build dates. Establish and maintain mid- and long-term production plans in SAP MRP, optimizing schedules to meet on-time delivery while managing plant capacities and constraints. Monitor daily exceptions, resolve routine and non-routine issues, and proactively rectify bottlenecks that may cause delays. Generate weekly and monthly scheduling metrics, summarize conclusions from reports, and recommend workflow improvements to minimize scrap and optimize inventory utilization. Manage product lifecycle projects for new, existing, and discontinuing products to ensure availability across cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Product Supply Management or related discipline
- 3-5 years related experience in planning and scheduling in a LEAN Manufacturing environment
- Experienced working with an ERP system
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge in Microsoft Windows Office suite
- Location: This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office

Desired Qualifications
