Job Summary
NPI Operations Project Manager to own project strategy for supply chain, cost, planning, buying, and manufacturing processes, and to manage NPI team strategy for multi-level BOMs for highly complex electro-mechanical products and system configurations. Role involves coordinating with Design Engineering, Supply Base Management, Test Development Engineering, and Operations to enable successful new product transfer from prototype to production, with on-site prototype work in North Reading and travel opportunities to low-cost region production suppliers. Responsible for first builds through production transfer, capacity/resource planning, risk management, and ensuring development deliverables support smooth transfer to High Volume teams. Requires collaboration across functional groups, managing project headcount and spend, and strong communication with cost and supply-line groups. Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3+ years PM experience in operations are required; travel (~10%) and no visa sponsorship are noted. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 3+ years of project management in an Operations role
- Experience with inventory, capacity, material gathering, engineering, and finance aspects of manufacturing and outsourcing electromechanical systems and PCBAs
- Ability to work without supervision
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Nominal travel (approximately 10%)
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration and multi-level BOM management
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement changes
- Local candidate to North Reading, MA area
