Job Summary

Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from design release to full-scale production, acting as the primary liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams. Review engineering drawings, bills of materials, and specifications to ensure manufacturability, while troubleshooting assembly and performance issues to drive root cause analysis. Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production documentation, and coordinate Engineering Change Orders throughout the product lifecycle. Assist with fixture development, tooling, and test equipment for product validation, maintaining hands-on involvement on the production floor. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and three years of NPI experience, with proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing engineering, production engineering, or a related engineering role
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, assembly instructions, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical specifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability and willingness to work hands-on with products, tooling, test equipment, and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with electrical systems, industrial controls, power distribution equipment, control panel fabrication, wiring practices, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting backup power systems, generator enclosures, switchgear, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and other industrial power generation or distribution equipment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies, with the ability to apply these principles in a production environment
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar design and drafting tools
