Job Summary
As a Buyer at Applied Materials, you will be responsible for purchasing materials and supplies, negotiating with suppliers, and collaborating with various teams to ensure timely delivery and inventory management. This role requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electronics Engineering, along with extensive experience in Purchasing and Mechanical Engineering. Key responsibilities include managing orders, leading coordination meetings with suppliers, overseeing supplier operations, and addressing material accounting issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electronics Engineering or Practical Mechanical / Electronics Engineering preferred
- High level English (writing, speaking and reading)
- Experience in supplier management
- Negotiation skills
Desired Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience in Purchasing, preferably within high-tech or capital equipment sectors
- 7+ years' Mechanical Engineering experience as an R&D designer or NPI engineer, ideally in high-tech or capital equipment industries
- Service-oriented, experienced with suppliers and internal customers
- Independent, team player with high negotiation skills
- Program management experience
- Commercial orientation
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- High presentation skills
- Great interpersonal skills
