NPD Senior Engineer - Mechanical Design

NPD Senior Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for leading mechanical design execution across one or more new product development programs for cordless and pneumatic power fastening tools used in wood and concrete applications. Plays a hands-on technical role, owning concept development, detailed design in 3D CAD, and iterative refinement based on feedback to achieve performance, cost, and schedule goals. Performs critical analyses (DFMEA, DOE, tolerance stack-ups), ensures integration of electro-mechanical subsystems, coordinates prototype builds, supports manufacturing transition, and drives design improvements. Partners with marketing, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to define scope, assess cost targets, and ensure manufacturability. Requires strong mechanical design capability, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership through project execution; travel and office/lab work are part of the role. Compensation range is $100,000-$140,000 annually plus performance incentive.
