Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric cardiology patients through comprehensive physical assessments, diagnostic testing, and evidence-based treatment plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including heart surgery and interventional cardiology specialists, to create individualized care strategies. Provide family-centered communication by addressing patient concerns and involving families in decision-making processes. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects to advance pediatric cardiology practices while maintaining compliance with internal and external APRN/PA regulations. Advocate for patient needs across the healthcare continuum and integrate ethical principles into clinical decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (PNP-PC), Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PA) certification and licensure in the state of Florida
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric Primary Care Nursing (PNP-PC), FNP or Physician Assistant Studies (PA) from an accredited program
- Current BLS and PALS
- Understanding of internal and external APRN or PA practice rules, regulations and legislation to maintain compliance and certification
- Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Dedication to providing compassionate and family-centered care to pediatric patients
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
- Authorization to Work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Prior APP experience in pediatric cardiology or a related field
