Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider in the Emergency Department at Cook Children’s in Fort Worth, TX. Functions in collaborative practice with emergency medicine physicians in a high-volume ED, autonomously performing patient assessment, diagnosis, and interventions per approved protocols, with capabilities to admit patients when needed. Roles include NP/PA responsibilities with acute pediatric care emphasis, requiring Master’s-level APRN or PA education, and certification in required specialty areas; position is part-time (second shift) in a pediatric hospital setting. Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification OR Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies with PA-C and required certifications (BLS, PALS)
- Current Texas RN license and APRN license (for ENP/Family or Pediatric NP) OR PA license for PA-C track
- Certification as Family or Pediatric NP OR PA-C
- Current Basic Life Support (CPR) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent required
