Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Active state licensure
• •Nurse Practitioners must be Acute Care Certified (ACNP)
• •Physician Assistants must hold appropriate national certification
• •Minimum of 1–2 years of ICU experience as an APP
• •Proficiency in ICU procedures including central and arterial line placement
• •Ability to work independently in a high-acuity ICU environment
• •Effective communication with physicians and nursing staff
• •Hospital Privileges
• •Case Logs for central and arterial line procedures
• •Full-time night shift coverage
• •Three 12-hour shifts per week
• •Shift Hours: 7:00p – 7:30a
• •Adult ICU patients
• •Medical and surgical ICU admissions
• •Rounding each shift
• •Phone Consults as required
• •Critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• •Cerner EMR System
• •Central venous line insertion (CVLs, vascaths, introducers)
• •Arterial line insertion
• •ICU patient assessment and management
• •Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• •Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement treatment plans
• •Collaborate with attending physicians on plan of care and clinical decision-making
• •Interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory results
• •Perform required invasive ICU procedures per credentialing
• •Participate in multidisciplinary rounds each shift
• •Communicate effectively with ICU nursing staff and ancillary teams
• •Document all patient care accurately and timely in the EMR
