Job Summary
Conduct hospital rounds, assess patient progress, and coordinate care and discharge planning under physician supervision. Perform exams, episodic illness visits, and follow-up care, including ordering laboratory tests and prescribing medications. Act as a resource for phone triage nurses and handle patient calls. Chart all findings accurately per CPT billing regulations. This part-time role includes day shift weekend and holiday rotation at Dartmouth, MA and St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford, MA. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program
- Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant
- Masters of Science Degree in Nursing
- Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current Massachusetts R.N. registration
- Nurse Practitioner Certificate
- Physician Assistant Certificate
- Over 3 months experience
