Job Summary
Under the direction of a Supervising Physician, provide primarily inpatient medical management and care coordination for patients at the Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon, with additional support to outpatient clinic and hospital-based services. Manage inpatient workflow, handle admissions, coordinate discharges, and offer provider support, while maintaining a secondary expectation of involvement in outpatient and consultative care as operational needs evolve. Deliver expert care reflecting the Legacy mission of making life better for others.
Required Qualifications
- Current applicable state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner or ability to obtain licensure upon date of hire
- Current BLS for Providers from the American Heart Association
- Must submit information necessary to complete a National Practitioner Data Base search and meet Legacy's standards for results
- Experience in direct patient management, in the surgical or medical subspecialty of the department one is hired into
- Surgical assisting experience required if working with a surgical specialty
- Knowledge of acute and chronic disease states, administration and prescription of medications, and delivering physical care following treatment plan
