Job Summary
Assess and manage patient populations with medical and surgical conditions through complete histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretation. Develop plans of care, order medications, and perform bedside procedures while consistently documenting admission, progress, and discharge summaries. Provide direct care, counseling, and education to designated patients across ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings, including precepting a small group of learners. Maintain quality control standards and communicate effectively with medical staff and the public. This full-time, 40-hour Monday-Friday position requires a licensed Nurse Practitioner with at least three years of direct primary care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree Nursing
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN-NP - State License]
- 2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience
- Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings
- Ability to maintain quality control standards
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public
