Job Summary
Mass General Brigham seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for Palliative Care & Geriatric Medicine in Boston, MA. The role provides direct care, consultation, counseling, and teaching across inpatient, ambulatory, and ED settings, including taking histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting tests, developing and following through on plans of care, prescribing medications, maintaining thorough documentation, and performing bedside procedures. The NP/PA collaborates with attending physicians/other APPs, supports patient-family decision making, and contributes to education, discharge coordination, research, and departmental leadership. Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing (or an equivalent accredited program for PA), MA licensure as RN (expanded role) or PA, national certification, prescriptive authority, DEA registration, and BLS; minimum 2 years inpatient experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice (APRN-NP)
- Current Massachusetts licensure as RN (expanded role) or PA
- National certification in advanced practice nursing or NCCPA for PA
- Prescriptive authority for controlled substances in MA
- DEA registration for controlled substances
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum 2 years inpatient experience (strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of end-of-life care, advanced care planning, pain and symptom management, Bereavement in context of serious illness
- Licensure/credentials as NP or PA with applicable state approvals
