Job Summary
Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider in a Level III NICU at Ascension All Saints Hospital (Racine, WI). The role supports premature infant care, contributes to care planning, assists with deliveries, counsels families, and collaborates with Neonatologists and NICU nurses. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, performing assessments, ordering/interpreting diagnostic studies, providing direct treatment and management, and documenting care in EPIC. Approximately 1300 births per year with an average daily census of 5-8 infants; the NICU team includes highly experienced nurses. Minimum qualifications include BLS within 30 days of hire, NP credentialing in WI or MN (or RN credential with state licensure), and a Master\'s degree in Nursing. The position is salaried with PRN scheduling and a focus on patient- and family-centered neonatal care.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
- Education: Master\'s degree of Nursing required.
