Job Summary
Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (NP) for the Neonatal Department in a Level III NICU at Ascension All Saints Hospital. Responsibilities include caring for premature infants, helping create care plans and navigate care with nurses, assisting with deliveries, consulting with mothers, performing patient histories and assessments, ordering/performing/interpreting diagnostic studies, providing direct treatment and management, educating patients and families, and documenting within EPIC. Requires BLS within 30 days of hire and NP licensure in Minnesota or Wisconsin (state dependent) with RN licensure as applicable; master's degree in nursing; experience preferred. Approximately 1300 births per year, average daily census 5-8 infants, collaborative team with Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. Location: Racine, WI. This is a salaried, PRN schedule with 5–24 hour shifts in a 6-week period and holiday/weekend rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree of Nursing required
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Nursing OR Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire date
- Licensure dependent on state associate works in
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Minnesota/Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire date
- DEA credentialed preferred
- Education: Master's degree of Nursing required
