Job Summary
Assess and manage ICU patients, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, and support the rapid response team when called. Procudural experience is a plus. Join a stable Intensivist service of 8 physicians and 8 Nurse Practitioners within a 36-bed ICU at a Level II trauma center. Complete a minimum commitment of every fourth weekend night shift (2 shifts/28 days), rotating between 8, 10, or 12-hour overnight hours. Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with at least 2 years experience preferred; new grads considered. Requires Illinois NP licensure, DEA registration, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- at least 2 years experience
- Eligible for state medical license
- DEA/Controlled Substance registration
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted certification
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
- Master's degree of Nursing
- Mimimum commitment of every 4th weekend night shift (2 shifts/28 days)
- Could be 8, 10 or 12 hours as long as it is overnight
