Job Summary
Manage the classroom, ensuring compliance with all MSDE-OCC regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures. Provide a welcoming environment for children, parents, and visitors while maintaining attractive displays and an updated Parent Board. Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans based on weekly themes and Celebree's curriculum, managing transitions and supervising activities with positive discipline techniques. Ensure the space remains clean and safe, accurately complete paperwork including Sunshine Reports and attendance records, and communicate effectively with parents regarding development and classroom happenings. Identify and resolve classroom or school problems with assistant teachers or the director. Requires a Level 5 MD state credential, 90 clock hours in child development or infant/toddler training, and an AA degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Full-time role in Baltimore, MD, with a salary of $19.00-$22.00.
Required Qualifications
- 90 clock hrs. in Child Development and Curriculum Planning plus 45 clock hrs of Infant/Toddler Training
- 90 clock hours in Infant/Toddler Child Development and Curriculum
- MD state credential Level 5
- nine clock hrs of communication training with staff, parents, and the public
Desired Qualifications
- AA degree (or college credit equivalent) in Early Childhood Education or higher
