Now Hiring 1st Class Structural Welder - Fluxcore for a long-term shipyard project in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities include production welding on ships or in a shop to support structural repairs and modernization of marine vessels, including US Naval Vessels, MSC, and commercial ships. Must read and interpret drawings/technical documents, and be proficient with SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW and able to certify in all positions. Work includes coordinating with the welding helper and fire watch, adhering to fire prevention protocols, and complying with OSHA safety standards. Requires ability to use welding equipment, perform basic math, understand US customary and metric measurement systems, and have up to four years of welding experience. Per diem and lodging assistance offered; extended 60-hour work weeks with potential overtime. Per diem transportation provided for groups; apply in person at listed locations or contact provided supervisors.
