Job Summary
Now Hiring Journeyman Shipfitters in San Diego for a long-term project. Responsibilities include welding-related tasks (welding, tacking, burning, scarfing) and completing required welding assessments (FCAW, fillet welds 2F/3F/4F with VT; T Bar 12x4” 3/8” thick 2F/3F/4F with VT and fracture tests). Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of recent shipyard experience
- Must pass background check
- Must be DBIDS eligible
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must comprehend written and verbal instructions in English
- Must be able to hear warning signals and read safety instructions
- Shipfitter welding knowledge: welding, tacking, burning, scarfing
- Must pass Shipfitter Welding Assessment: FCAW; Fillet weld plates 2F 3F 4F with VT test; T Bar 12x4” 3/8” thick 2F 3F 4F with VT and fracture tests
