Job Summary
Lay out, assemble, install, or maintain pipe systems, pipe supports or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment per plans and specs. Responsibilities include reading isometric drawings, fabricating and installing piping, aligning and bolting components for welding, assembling and securing pipes and fittings, installing equipment per specifications, distinguishing metal thickness/types, rigging, and operating tools such as beveling machines, grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, and Saw-Zall. Must meet physical requirements, possess required tools, and be able to work outdoors in all weather, including overtime, nights, and weekends, while complying with safety and project rules. Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or its equivalent
- previous years of experience in the field or in a related area
- ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
- ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently
