Job Summary
Pipe Fitter role involving layout, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems and related equipment. Key duties include reading isometric drawings, measuring, fabricating, aligning and bolting/clamping components for welding, assembling pipes and fittings, rigging and handling materials, and using tools such as beveling machines, grinders, torches, magnetic drills, and Saw-Zall. Requires familiarity with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards, plus ability to work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and to adhere to safety and project rules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (may require) with prior years of field experience
- Working knowledge and abilities for the position
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently
- Must meet physical requirements
- Must have all required tools
- Willingness to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as workload requires
- Observe and comply with safety and project rules
