Lay out, assemble, install, or maintain pipe systems, pipe supports or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment in accordance with plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. Responsibilities include reading isometric drawings, fabricating and installing piping, aligning, bolting, and clamping components for welding, assembling and securing pipes and fittings by welding and threading joints, positioning materials per plans, distinguishing metal thicknesses, rigging, and operating tools such as beveling machines, grinders, torches, magnetic drills, and a Saw-Zall. Also layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, piping and supports, with emphasis on safety and adherence to project rules. Qualifications mention possible high school diploma or equivalent and requires ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate with supervision, and safely use hand and power tools; physical requirements include climbing and working at heights, outdoor work in all weather, and overtime as workload demands.
