Job Summary
Pipe Fitters sought to lay out, assemble, install, or maintain pipe systems, pipe supports or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment per plans and standards. Responsibilities include reading isometric drawings, fabricating and installing piping, aligning and securing components for welding, assembling pipes and fittings, installing equipment per specifications, handling rigging, operating beveling machines, grinders, torches, magnetic drills, and Saw-Zall, and performing hydro tests of piping systems. Requires physical ability to meet job demands, use of hand/power tools, and adherence to safety/project rules. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- May require a high school diploma or its equivalent
- working knowledge of tools and layout
- ability to read isometric drawings
- ability to follow written and oral instructions
- ability to use hand tools and power tools
- ability to work outdoors in all weather
- ability to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces
- ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload
