Job Summary
Conduct patient testing services in the Blood Bank, Core Laboratory, and Microbiology sections. Perform results entry and diagnostic imaging coverage while obtaining licensure within ninety days of hire. Work standard work days with on-call rotation as part of the growing laboratory team. This role supports the insourced Blood Bank patient testing services and aligns with the system's recent expansion into a new Cancer Institute.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a health science program or medical laboratory science
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience
- Current Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license under Chapter 483, Part IV, Florida Statute: 61F-5
- Qualification as an ASCP, AMT, NCA, or an equivalent medical technician
- Current technician license required under Chapter 483, Part IV, Florida Statute 61F-5
- Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
