Job Summary
Install, repair, and hook up electrical equipment for shipboard services in a Mississippi shipyard; troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems up to 600 V according to specifications and drawings; apply electrical theory, safety procedures, and Lock-out Tag-out; complete basic electrical shipbuilding written test and hands-on hookup; be prepared to work in a shipyard environment with shift-based assessment. Required Qualifications
- Experience with installation, repair, and hook-up of shipboard electrical systems (600 V and less)
- Knowledge of electrical theory and procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot shipboard electrical systems and equipment
- Familiarity with safety procedures and lock-out tag-out procedures
- Ability to pass a basic electrical shipbuilding written test and hands-on hookup
