Job Summary
Install and maintain OSP and ISP fiber optic cabling; perform single-mode and multi-mode splicing (fusion and mechanical); conduct OTDR testing, troubleshooting, and fault location; read and work from technical drawings, job plans, and routing diagrams; document test results to project standards; coordinate with the field crew and uphold all site safety requirements; outdoor field work in varying conditions; overtime as project demands.
Required Qualifications
- Current FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) certification, or accepted equivalent (ETA CFOI/FOI, BICSI)
- Hands-on OSP/ISP fiber installation and maintenance experience
- Proficiency in single-mode and multi-mode splicing
- Experience with OTDR testing and troubleshooting
- Ability to read technical drawings and job plans
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Commitment to field safety compliance
