Job Summary
Line Cook position at Novecento Delray. Responsible for preparing a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other equipment, while upholding sanitation, safety, portion sizes, and quality standards. Collaborates with FOH to ensure guests have an exceptional dining experience across dine-in, takeout, and delivery. Duties include maintaining a clean workstation, stocking, proper food handling and rotation, following recipes and plating standards, assisting with closing procedures, attending meetings, and contributing ideas for continuous improvement. Requires solid kitchen experience, ability to work on busy lines, and strong communication with team members.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
- At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity
- Experience with kitchen equipment (knives, slicer, salamander, stove, oven, mixer, fryer, woks)
- Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room staff
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 10 hours)
- Pay rate ranges from $18 to $24 per hour
