Job Summary
Provide comprehensive family medicine services to patients enrolled in the Nova Scotia Brotherhood Program, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions while delivering preventative care and health promotion. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursing, wellness navigation, and mental health professionals to support culturally responsive, trauma-informed approaches within community-based clinics across Halifax Regional Municipality. Contribute to improving health outcomes and healthcare access for Black and African Nova Scotian men through this 0.2 FTE role under the Family Medicine Alternative Payment Plan.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Demonstrated commitment to health equity, cultural competence, and community engagement
