Job Summary
Not-for-Profit Tax Manager leading tax engagements for a Not-for-Profit practice, reviewing nonprofit information returns, researching tax-exempt issues, and mentoring staff within a collaborative team environment; responsibilities include supervising engagements, building client relationships, and providing expertise across state and local tax, charitable registrations, and related returns; ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting, CPA/JD/MS in Taxation, 5+ years of public accounting tax experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to travel as needed; role sits in NJ/NYC/Philadelphia offices with hybrid work arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA license, JD or Masters of Science in Taxation is required
- At least 5 years of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
- Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Ability to travel as needed
