Job Summary
Conduct massage services by evaluating members to locate painful areas, manipulating soft tissues, and adjusting techniques based on their needs. Guide clients through service offerings, discuss symptoms and medical history, and design sessions targeting specific complaints. Provide post-session guidance on stretching, strengthening, posture, and suggest recurring schedules. Document member conditions and progress while maintaining and cleaning equipment. Interact with diverse members to support their health goals and respond to emergency situations per YMCA policies. Attend staff meetings and perform other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- LMT
- ASHI Basic Life Support
- The ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
