Academic transplant hepatologists are sought to oversee medical care of patients with liver diseases and those undergoing liver transplantation across an extensive Northwell network. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating liver conditions, assessing eligibility for liver transplantation, overseeing pre- and post-transplant care, and educating medical students, residents, GI and transplant hepatology fellows. Candidates should be BE/BC in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology, with proven expertise in General and Transplant Hepatology and endoscopy, and eligible for New York State medical licensure. Appointment is available at the assistant, associate, or full professor levels with an emphasis on clinical care, teaching, and potential involvement in academic research. The role is based within Northwell Health’s transplant program, with multiple hospital and office locations across New York and an emphasis on collaboration within a large academic health system.
