Job Summary
Provide expert consultation and management of infectious diseases for hospitalized patients, including support for outpatient follow-up as needed. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care within a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Maintain flexibility for PRN shifts that may include weekday, weekend, or holiday availability based on hospital demand. Work independently while supporting a multidisciplinary team. Requires MD or DO degree, Internal Medicine residency, Infectious Disease fellowship, board certification or eligibility, current Georgia medical license, and DEA registration. Schedule runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Disease
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease
- Current Georgia medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Current DEA registration
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- PRN / As Needed – flexible shifts and consult coverage depending on hospital demand
- May include weekday, weekend, or holiday availability depending on service needs
- 7 a - 7 p
