Job Summary
Provide study hall and instructional assistance to middle and high school students, reinforcing instruction in study hall activities and assisting with completing classroom assignments, homework, and projects across various subjects. Monitor and oversee student practices and assignments, confer with faculty on lesson plans and materials, help students understand rules and procedures, answer questions, provide examples, emotional support, and a friendly attitude. Maintain attendance records, ensure health and safety, and perform related duties as assigned to meet the building's needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- strong office, computer, and oral and written communication skills
- knowledge of child guidance principles and practices
- knowledge of general instructional methods and techniques
- knowledge of basic subjects taught in District schools (arithmetic, grammar, spelling, language and reading)
